NES was famous for its simple story and classic gameplay. Donkey Kong brings that to the table and more for Mario fans. It’s a simple yet fun game where you have to get your friend Pauline back from an Evil Ape named Donkey Kong. In the game, you are Mario, and you have to pass through three stages and get to the top to rescue your friend.
Donkey Kong throws barrels at you while you try to climb the ladders to climb further up. In level 1- The barrels he throws roll down as he throws down each girder and, you have to either dodge them by jumping, bust them with hammers or avoid them by climbing ladders. Further in Level 2, the elevator stage comes with a twist. You have to climb to the top again, but this time you will have to jump on platforms while donkey kong throws barrels at you.
The third and final stage is where you get your revenge after all donkey kong has put you through. You will get to shoot bolts at girders to collapse, thus making Donkey Kong fall to the ground. The game repeats these levels with higher speed and difficulty as you progress through more loops of these three levels. For a classic NES game, Donkey Kong is a game you can play for hours without getting bored.
